Fabrizio Ruggeri
Istituto di Matematica Applicata e Tecnologie Informatiche - Milano, Italia Fabrizio Ruggeri is Research Director in "Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche - Istituto di Matematica Applicata e Tecnologie Informatiche - Milano", Italy. He received the B.Sc. in Mathematics at the Università degli Studi di Milano, M.Sc. in Statistics at the Carnegie Mellon University and Ph.D. in Statistics at the Duke University. He is a former president at ISBA (International Society for Bayesian Analysis - 2012) and ENBIS (European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics - 2005/6), and current council member at ISI (International Statistical Institute) and ISBIS (International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics). He is Editor-in-Chief of Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry since 2007, and co-editor and co-author of the books: Bayesian Robustness (1996), Robust Bayesian Analysis (2000), Bayesian Analysis of Stochastic Process Models (2012), and Statistical Methods in Healthcare (2012). His research topics of interest are namely Bayesian analysis, Biostatistics, Industrial Statistics and Reliability. |
Antonio Carlos Pedroso de Lima
Universidade de São Paulo - Brasil Antonio Carlos Pedroso de Lima is Professor of Statistics in the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. He got the B.Sc. in Statistics at the Universidade de São Paulo, M.Sc. in Statistics at the Universidade de São Paulo, and Ph.D. in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is Scientific Vice-Director of the Applied Statistics Center at the Universidade de São Paulo. He is co-author of the books: From Finite Sample to Asymptotic Methods in Statistics (2010) and "Noções de Probabilidade e Estatística" (2013). His research topics of interest are namely Survival analysis, Asymptotic methods, Biostatistics, and Semiparametric modeling. |
Bernard Rachet
London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine - United Kingdom Bernard Rachet is Reader in Cancer Epidemiology in the Department of Non-communicable Disease Epidemiology, Faculty of Epidemiology and Population Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, United Kingdom. He got the Doctor in Medicine at the University of Saint-Etienne, M.Sc. in Epidemiology in Paris, and Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), Lyon. His current research is centred on cancer survival, as co-principal investigator in two successive five-year Cancer Research UK Programme Grants (2005-2015). He is carrying out a wide range of projects to quantify, describe and explain patterns and trends in cancer survival by socio-economic group, geographic area and ethnicity, as well as extending the methodology and tools for survival analysis. |
Jacobo Uña-Álvarez
Universidad de Vigo - España Jacobo de Uña-Álvarez is Professor of Statistics in the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the University of Vigo, Spain. He got the B.Sc. and Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Santiago de Compostela, as well as the Award "Premio Ramiro Melendreras" of the Spanish Statistics and Operations Research Society (SEIO) as best young researcher in Spain, 2000. He is Associate Editor of the journals: Annals of the Institute of Statistical Mathematics, Computational Statistics, Biometrics, and Brazilian Journal of Probability and Statistics. His research topics of interest are namely Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Econometrics, Goodness-of-fit tests, Multi-state models, Nonparametric curve estimation, Resampling methods, Survival analysis. |
